LOVE THY NEIGHBOR
Today we are collecting a special offering for the Texans on Mission Non-Profit (formerly Texas Baptist Men) who have been onsite working in the flood area since July 5th. This is the same organization who helped build the edifice we worship in today.
Please make checks and envelopes to Texans on Mission. If you give electronically, please put TOM in the notes. The total amount received and presented will be provided to the church family.
DEACON MINISTRY UPDATE
Pastor Biggs and Chairman Outland are asking the Church family to pray daily from July 20th to August 20th specifically for the Lord to show us men of the body who can serve in the Deacon Ministry. Please also read Acts 6:1-7 and 1 Timothy 3:8-13 repeatedly to see the type of men expected by the scriptures.
All names are welcomed. Please understand, they will be received, prayed over, screened and a list will be presented to the Church for approval at a Family Meeting in August.
Pease give candidate names to a Church Administrator (Dea. Robert Swindell or Dr. Gwendolyn Black) or the Church Secretary (Sis. Loretta Biggs). Thank you for participating and taking this important step in our Church life seriously.
